The Stairway GTL was created with the home user in mind.  The waist belt used in the original Stairway stepmill has been removed.  Instead, you control the speed from the display along with how fast you climb.  The Stairway GTL still remains self-powered though and impossible to cheat.  It features a unique closed loop control to keep the speed level even when you are tired and leaning on the handle. It is a revolutionary stair climber not only in speed control but it maintains the size of Stairway making it available to fit where other stair climbers won’t.
